Teachers Teaching Out-of-Field
Our professional teachers are continuously working on professional development to develop their teaching skills and increase their levels of content expertise. We are recognizing teachers at Lauderhill 6-12 who are expanding their expertise beyond their current certification by pursuing college courswork and/or training sessions to become certified or endorsed in another/other subject(s).
In order to remain in this/these assignment(s), the teacher(s) will successfully complete required training within 12 months of the assignment or, if teaching the primary English or Reading class to identified limited English proficient students, in accordance with the Multicultural Education training Advocacy (META) timeline.

Welcome Message From Our Principal
Dear Lauderhill 6-12 Parents, Students, and Community,
As new Principal at Lauderhill 6-12, I am proud to welcome you to the 2013-2014 school year. This academic year we begin a new chapter together for our new school, a journey based on deep commitment to student success, both academic and social. With a wide range of challenges, many clubs, activities and events, Lauderhill 6-12 will afford all of our students the chance to feel involved in their school and invested in the Lauderhill 6-12 experience. Our faculty and staff is a caring and dedicated group of adults who will strive to meet students’ needs while guiding them socially and emotionally as they are growing and maturing.
Our mission is directly related to the District wide commitment to the strategic areas of focus in academic excellence, educational equity and continuous improvement using data. We will strive to achieve what’s best for our children, offer them a student centered and project-based approach to instructional delivery, as we develop them for the 21st century.
I would like to express my appreciation for all of the many summer changes and activities, especially the YMCA that have helped Lauderhill 6-12 move forward. Also, thank you to all who over the last four months took the time and extended their efforts to prepare us for our “Grand Opening” on August 19th.
